Sexual Health Clinic

Your Sexual Health

MyMedical runs a sexual health clinic for STI/STD screening and educating patients on the importance of maintaining good sexual health. Even though many people do not talk about the importance of sexual health, it is vital to know that a problem in your sexual health can lead to a lack of confidence, stress, and anxiety - ignoring sexual health issues does not make them go away.

Our medical professionals provide an excellent full sexual health screening to detect any Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) including HIV. These tests check for anogenital warts, chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhoea, HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, pubic lice, syphilis and trichomonas. Our sexual health clinic and its healthcare professionals will guide you throughout the treatment course educating you about STI preventing measures.

If you are worried that you may have contracted an STI or if you just want to have peace of mind, contact us today to learn more about tests we provide at our clinic. We make sure to keep all your consultation information and medical reports strictly confidential so that you can walk into our clinic anytime seeking help, without any hesitations during clinic hours.

Infections are all around us. Starting from birth it is important to be be vaccinated against different infections. We gain lifetime immunity for some infections once we contract them e.g. Chicken pox, but for the others, the immunity remains only a few weeks or months. However, waiting to contract an illness to be immunised against it isn’t the right way to go about it.

Vaccinations for immunisation are a very safe and effective way to protect your babies, children and yourself against many diseases out there today. Vaccinations have been getting some unwarranted bad publicity of late, but rest assured risks of contracting any of the diseases far outweigh the low risk of any side effects from immunisation.

Flu Vaccine

Each year the World Health Organisation tries to predict which strain of the flu virus will mostly likely be in circulation around the world. It is called the Seasonal Flu Vaccine because it changes every year. You cannot get the flu from the influenza vaccine as it contains inactive viruses, it does however take 7 to 14 days to be effective. Our healthcare professionals will provide the Influenza vaccine during the Flu season to keep you healthy when everyone around you is getting sick.

Travel Vaccines

In addition, we do not only provide vaccinations for diseases found locally, but also provide travel vaccinations too. Receiving vaccinations before you travel to an endemic area will keep you safe and healthy to let you enjoy your journey. We have the full travel package including, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, and Pertussis.

All the vaccinations are administered by a medical doctor or a qualified medical nurse. Contact us to learn more about the vaccinations provided at our clinic. Please call us on 014370097 or email bookings@mymedical.ie to book an appointment.
